T20 World Cup: 10 Ball Ki Keemat Tum Kya Jaano Yuvraj Babu: Another Blunder From Dhoni To Surrender Against SL

The finals between Sri Lanka and India of T20 World Cup played at Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh,  never seemed to be a serious attempt from Indian side. Yuvraj should not have experimented in finals looking at his consistently failing innings and more so the confidence with which he is playing these days. Even if he was taken the next blunder that Dhoni did was to send Yuvraj at second down after Rohit Sharma departed in the 11th over. From 11th to 19th over, as long as Yuvraj was there at crease with Virat Kohli, it was the most devastating spell of runs scored by Indian batsmen.

Yuvraj was clearly failing to play against Sri Lankan bowlers. out of 21 balls almost 10 balls were wasted by him by either trying to hook the ball and failing or defending himself as if a test match was being played. Instead he should have performed a solider's attempt to go for a suicidal shot as early as possible to get out of the fear he was having on the field.

The onus in any case goes to Dhoni for showing over confidence on Yuvraj and sending him on 2 down. Instead he should have sent Raina, Ashwin and Jadeja before Yuvraj and himself. Probably the score would have been a little respectable and at a level to provide a little bit of confidence to the Indian bowlers.
